TowerBrook Capital Partners LP has acquired Orchid Underwriters Agency LLC from private equity firm Gryphon Investors for undisclosed financial terms.

Orchid Underwriters is a managing general agency/managing general underwriter that offers specialty P&C insurance products to homeowners, high-net-worth individuals and small businesses throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. Following the acquisition, Orchid Underwriters' president and CEO, Brad Emmons, will continue to lead the managing general agency.

Gryphon Investors will maintain a significant equity position in Orchid Underwriters.
