Liberman wants FCC to reconsider ruling in carriage complaint against Comcast

Liberman Broadcasting Inc., owner of Spanish-languagenetwork Estrella TV(US), asked FCC's Media Bureau to reconsider its decision todismiss Liberman's carriage complaintagainst ComcastCorp., Multichannel Newsreported Sept. 26, citing a petition.

Arguing that the FCC erred in concluding that the company'sretrans issues with Comcast did not fall under program carriage as per theagency's rules, Liberman asked the FCC to vacate its earlier ruling and presentthe case before the FCC's administrative law judge.

Comcast, meanwhile, responded to the statement saying thecase lacks merit, and the FCC's decision was "well grounded in both lawand policy."
