Calibre Mining Corp. said Jan. 25 that it kicked off the first two drilling programs this year at its Borosi concession in northeast Nicaragua.
The first program is at the Eastern Borosi project, which is being funded by the company's partner IAMGOLD Corp. It will consist of a minimum 6,000 meters and focus on the extensions of high-grade gold-silver vein systems outlined in earlier drilling programs.
Meanwhile, the second program at the Monte Carmelo skarn project will comprise at least 2,500 meters and target high-grade gold skarn mineralization exposed on surface and tested by an extensive program of auger drilling.
Calibre noted that it is planning to carry out three additional drilling programs this year.
