Other game developers have shown interest in acquiring Zynga Inc., Bloomberg News reported Oct. 9, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

The sources, however, said formal talks have yet to take place. The names of the companies that have reached out to Zynga were not disclosed.

A spokeswoman for Zynga declined to comment.

Zynga is known for its popular mobile games, such as "FarmVille" and "Words With Friends."
