Shazam, others team up to debut audio audience measurement service

Cumulus MediaInc., iHeartMediaInc., EntercomCommunications Corp., CoxMedia Group Inc. and Sun Broadcast Group joined forces with Shazamto develop an audio audience measurement service in the U.S.

The service will use the companies' proprietary data assetsand measurement capabilities to offer market- and station-level audiencemetrics across all radio formats, according to a July 21 news release.

Sun Broadcast Group is a national radio network reachingmore than 115 million monthly listeners through more than 8,000 affiliates inboth general market and Spanish language radio.
