Sompo Holdings Inc. has completed a share repurchase program after it brought such spending close to the limit set aside for the exercise.
The company said in an Oct. 12 release that it has bought back 12,878,400 of its own shares for ¥56.90 billion between May 22 and Oct. 11.
Under the program announced in May, the company sought to buy back at most 18,966,666 common shares for up to ¥56.90 billion between May 22 and Nov. 16.
As of Oct. 11, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.28.
