French banking lobby appoints Crédit Agricole CEO as president

French banking lobby Fédération Bancaire Française(FBF) appointed Crédit AgricoleSA Philippe Brassac to serve as its new president, effective Sept.1.

Brassac will succeed CEO FrédéricOudéa, the organization said July 12. Brassac's term is limited to a year,according to the FBF's statutes.

BNPParibas SA CEO Jean-Laurent Bonnafé was appointed vice president.

The FBF represents French banks and foreign lendersoperating in France.
