Invenergy acquires 70-MW wind farm in Uruguay

Invenergy WindLLC has acquired the 70-MW Campo Palomas wind farm in Uruguay froman Abengoa SAsubsidiary, according to an April 1 company release.

The InvenergyLLC subsidiary also secured financing for the project fromInter-American Investment Corp., with DNB as the mandated lead arranger andB-loan participant. Construction of the facility has already started.

State-owned utility Usinas & Trasmisiones Electricaswill purchase the output of the utility under a long term contract.
