Russian miner Raspadskaya's raw coal output inches up 1% YOY in Q3'19

Russia's PJSC Raspadskaya posted a 1% year-over-year increase in raw coal output for the third quarter to 3.0 million tonnes, according to preliminary figures released Oct. 25.

Total coal concentrate sales rose 20% on an annual basis to 2.2 Mt due to a 26% growth in exports to 1.5 Mt and an 8% increase in sales to the Russian market to 665,000 tonnes.

Sales of raw coal shot up 78% from a year ago to 578,000 tonnes.

The company resumed operations at namesake coal mine in southwestern Siberia in June after a roof caved in, killing one miner.
