Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff dismissed Roberto Derziêde Sant'Anna from his position as vice president of state-run lender ,according to the April 1 edition of the country's official gazette, Diário Oficial da União.
Derziê was reportedly dismissed for his ties to Brazil'sPMDB party, which recently split with Rousseff's governing coalition, Valor Econômico reported the same day.
Separately, two Brazilian opposition deputies are requestingaccess to details on Caixa Econômica Federal's social spending programs, whichthe government has been trying to keep secret, O Globo reported April 3.
According to the publication, the bank's accounting balancefor 2015 shows 1.9 billion Brazilian reais in receivable credits related tosocial programs and management funds, however, the details haven't been madepublic after formal requests for information were made.
As of April 1, US$1was equivalent to 3.57 Brazilian reais.
