Qatar National Bank SAQ launched an investigation aftera report that a massive leak of data included customer records.
The InternationalBusiness Times reported April 26 that the roughly 1.4 gigabytes of dataincluded customer transaction logs, personal identification numbers and creditcard data. The news outlet added that while multiple sources confirmed to itthat the data was authentic, it was still in the process of verifying the leak.
The bank said its policy is not tocomment on "reports circulated via social media" but that it isinvestigating the matter with all concerned parties. It added that there is nofinancial impact on the clients or the bank.
