S&P assigns rating to Standard Life Aberdeen

S&P Global Ratings on Oct. 4 assigned an A long-term foreign-currency issuer credit rating to Standard Life Aberdeen Plc, with a stable outlook.

The foreign-currency rating is in line with the company's local-currency rating.

The stable outlook reflects the rating agency's expectation that the Standard Life group will preserve its competitive position and post solid earnings, among other factors. The agency also expects the group to successfully execute its merger with Aberdeen Asset Management Plc.
