Switzerland-headquartered iron ore company Ferrexpo Plc's total pellet production in the third quarter dropped 8.2% from the second quarter to 2.6 million tonnes.
The 65% iron pellets output totaled 2.5 million tonnes, while the 62% iron pellets totaled 148,200 tonnes, a 5.4% and 38.3% drop on a quarterly basis.
Pellet production from own ore stood at 2.6 million tonnes in the third quarter, down 7.8% compared to the second quarter.
No pellets were produced from third party materials in the quarter, while the second quarter output was 11,700 tonnes, according to an Oct. 5 release.
Total nine-month pellet production dropped 4% year over year to 8.3 million tonnes.
The 65% iron premium pellets accounted for 94% of total production volumes at 7.8 million tonnes in the nine months, compared to 87% of total production volume a year ago at 7.5 million tonnes.
