Coeur Mining Inc.'s third-quarter production of gold and silver increased year over year, as the company maintained its production guidance for the 2019 full year.
Gold output climbed to 99,782 ounces from 88,833 ounces last year, while silver output slightly rose to 3.0 million ounces from 2.9 Moz. The company also produced 4.2 million pounds of zinc and 4.5 Mlbs of lead, both increasing year over year.
Gold sales rose to 100,407 ounces, as silver sales stayed flat at 3.0 million ounces. Zinc and lead sales climbed to 4.1 Mlbs and 4.3 Mlbs, respectively.
Coeur reaffirmed its full-year production guidance of between 334,000 ounces to 372,000 ounces of gold, 12.2 Moz to 14.7 Moz of silver, 25 Mlbs to 40 Mlbs of zinc and 20 Mlbs to 35 Mlbs of lead, as the company expects to meet its targets at the Palmarejo Complex in Mexico, Rochester mine in Nevada, Kensington operation in Alaska, Wharf property in South Dakota and Silvertip mine in British Columbia.
The company said Oct. 10 that the strong third-quarter operational results are expected to continue for the rest of the year.
