Marathon Oil grosses $996.3 million from debt offering

Marathon Oil Corp. raised gross proceeds of $996.3 million from an offering of 4.4% senior unsubordinated unsecured notes due July 15, 2027.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, investment in securities, and redemption or repayment of debt securities.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., SG Americas Securities LLC and TD Securities (USA) LLC were the lead underwriters.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, DNB Markets Inc., Fifth Third Securities Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Lloyds Securities Inc., Loop Capital Markets LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., PNC Capital Markets LLC, RBC Capital Markets LLC, SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc., Standard Chartered Bank and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. also served as underwriters for the offering.
