Alpha Innovations Ltd., a Bermuda-based asset management firm, has officially launched.

The company's leadership team consists of former employees of Point72 Asset Management LP, Balyasny Asset Management LP, Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Morgan Stanley and CITIC.

Alpha Innovations intends to provide its investors with alpha, which is an excess return on an investment relative to a benchmark return, extracted from investment strategies. The framework used for this will have more oversight and governance so that investors fulfill their fiduciary duties.

The company will leverage structural innovation and blockchain technology for increased operational efficiency and reduced risk and fees.
