Alliance Bank Malaysia raises dividend

Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd. raised its second interim dividend for the fiscal year ended March 31.

The company's board proposed a second interim dividend of 8.2 sen per share, up from the prior fiscal year's dividend of 6.8 sen per share. Together with a first interim dividend of 8.5 sen per share, the company's total dividend for the fiscal year amounted to 16.7 sen per share, up from the prior fiscal year's total dividend of 15.3 sen per share.

The entitlement date for the second interim dividend is June 18. The dividend will be paid June 27.

As of May 28, US$1 was equivalent to 4.18 Malaysian ringgit.
