NGPL seeks customers for gas expansion projects into Gulf Coast, Chicago

Natural Gas PipelineCo. of America LLC is looking for customer interest in additional naturalgas transportation capacity on two expansion projects into the Chicago and GulfCoast markets.

The subsidiary of KinderMorgan Inc. and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP announced May10 that it is seeking non-binding bids for second phases of both the Chicago Marketexpansion and Gulf Coast Southbound expansion projects.

"We believe these projects provide benefits to our variouscustomers, including local distribution companies, power plants, producers and marketers,and emerging markets in Mexico and LNG liquefaction," NGPL President DavidDevine said.

In March, FERC authorizedthe Chicago Market project's first phase, which is expected to be in service inthe fourth quarter of 2016. This stage, which is fully subscribed to, will increasethe transportation capacity of the line by approximately 238,000 Dth/d.

The Chicago Market project's second phase would require additionalcompression facilities at an NGPL compressor station in Livingston County, Ill.It would provide an additional 200,000 Dth/d of incremental form transportationservice to nearby markets.

The Gulf Coast Southbound expansion project would increase deliveriesto serve gas demand from industrial customers in the Gulf Coast area. The firstphase, anticipated to be in service during the fourth quarter of 2018, would transportapproximately 460,000 Dth/d of incremental firm transportation service, which isfully subscribed.

The second phase of the project would deliver an additional 250,000Dth/d of incremental firm transportation service to markets in Texas and Louisiana.This phase is expected to be placed into service during the fourth quarter of 2019,pending regulatory approvals.
