Liberbank to sell point-of-sale terminals biz

Liberbank SA and U.S. payment services firm EVO Payments International LLC entered into a strategic partnership that entails the sale of the Spanish bank's point-of-sale terminals business for nearly €7.9 million.

The sale will generate a positive impact on Liberbank's results of €5.5 million, the bank said Dec. 27. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2018, EVO said the same day.

The strategic partnership also includes a commercial alliance for a 10-year period.
