Komatsu Seiren profit holds mostly steady YOY in fiscal Q3

Komatsu Seiren Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥3.40 per share, compared with ¥3.38 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥145.8 million, compared with ¥145.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.7% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to ¥8.81 billion from ¥8.61 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥8.73 billion, compared with ¥8.65 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew 22.3% year over year to ¥126.0 million, or ¥2.94 per share, from ¥103.0 million, or ¥2.40 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
