Euronext's November average daily transaction value up 11.0% YOY

Euronext NV said the average daily transaction value on its cash-order book amounted to about €8.14 billion in November, up 11.0% from a year earlier and 13.5% from October.

Activity on exchange-traded funds reached an average daily transaction value of €481 million in November, down 22.1% from a year earlier and up 21.6% from the previous month. Euronext recorded 828 listings at the end of November, compared to 790 at 2016-end.

The average daily volume on equity index derivatives reached 219,503 contracts, down 7.0% from November 2016. The ADV on individual equity derivatives stood at 350,175 contracts, up 37.0% from the same month a year ago, while the ADV on commodities derivatives rose 16.6% year over year to 60,089 contracts.

On a year-to-date basis, the overall ADV on Euronext derivatives stood at 551,326 contracts, up 11.9% from the end of November 2016.
