Axis Bank Ltd. said Dec. 31, 2019, that it appointed Naveen Tahilyani group executive and head of banking operations and transformation, effective Jan. 6.

Most recently, Tahilyani was CEO of group partnership distribution at insurance company AIA Group Ltd.

Meanwhile, the Indian bank appointed Amit Talgeri as chief risk officer, replacing Cyril Anand, who retired effective Dec. 31, 2019. Talgeri is executive vice president of risk at the bank and was appointed to the new role for a three-year period.
