Japan-basedmobile messaging app LINE Corp.has started the expansion of its business operations in by rolling out a new range of services, The Korea Times reported May 3.
LINE reportedly launched a mobile delivery service calledLINE Man, which will focus on food delivery. The messaging app also establisheda joint venture with Bangkok's mass transportation business BTS to form amobile payment service called Rabbit LINE Pay. Southeast Asiane-commerce platform Lazada was also introduced as one of LINE's officialaccount clients.
LINE began its services in Thailand in May 2012. So far, ithas attracted 33 million subscribers in the country, which is about half of theThai population of 68 million.
