Greencross profit misses consensus by 54.1% in fiscal H1

Greencross Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 9 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 19 cents per share.

EPS climbed 5.5% year over year from 8 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$9.4 million, an increase from A$4.3 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to A$307.7 million from A$151.1 million, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to A$284.6 million from A$140.1 million.

Reported net income declined 31.3% year over year to A$2.6 million, or 2 cents per share, from A$3.8 million, or 7 cents per share.
