Moody's assigns issuer ratings to SFIL

Moody's on July 12 assigned Aa3/Prime-1 long- andshort-term issuer ratings, with a stable outlook on the long-term rating.

The ratings are based on the bank's "a3" baselinecredit assessment. The lender receives one notch of uplift from its"a3" adjusted baseline credit assessment under Moody's advancedloss-given failure analysis, along with government support uplift of twonotches.

The stable outlook reflects Moody's anticipation of nosignificant change in the bank's creditworthiness in the foreseeable future. Italso reflects the stable outlook on the government of France's rating.
