Departing Julius Bär investment chief to join Credit Suisse

Credit SuisseGroup AG's CreditSuisse AG named Burkhard Varnholt deputy global chief investmentofficer within the investment solutions and products business of its internationalwealth management division.

Varnholt joins from Julius Bär Gruppe AG, where he was chief investmentofficer, Credit Suisse said May 11. Effective Nov. 1, he will also become vicechairman of the Credit Suisse investment committee and a member of themanagement committee for the investment solutions and products division.

Julius Bär said a day earlier that Yves Robert-Charrue wouldreplace Varnholt on an interim basis as head of its investment solutions group.Varnholt opted to leave the bank at the end of May following realignmentswithin the division.
