La Anónima said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30 amounted to 4 Argentine centavos per share, a decline of 61.9% from 10 centavos per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 18.7 million pesos, a decrease of 61.9% from 49.1 million pesos in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 0.3% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 28.4% year over year to 6.60 billion pesos from 5.14 billion pesos, and total operating expenses increased 29.9% from the prior-year period to 6.50 billion pesos from 5.00 billion pesos.
Reported net income decreased 49.2% from the prior-year period to 28.4 million pesos, or 6 centavos per share, from 55.8 million pesos, or 11 centavos per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 1.03 pesos per share, an increase of 16.8% from 88 centavos per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 514.9 million pesos, a gain of 16.8% from 440.7 million pesos in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 32.8% on an annual basis to 24.89 billion pesos from 18.74 billion pesos, and total operating expenses rose 33.5% on an annual basis to 23.88 billion pesos from 17.89 billion pesos.
The company said reported net income increased 16.6% year over year to 586.1 million pesos, or 1.17 pesos per share, in the full year, from 502.8 million pesos, or 1.01 pesos per share.
As of Sept. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 14.98 Argentine pesos.
