Harken Health to drop out of Chicago, Georgia ACA exchanges in '17

's will exit theChicago and Georgia Affordable Care Act exchanges and will only offer off-exchangeindividual plans in 2017, Bloomberg News reported, citing an emailed statement.

Harken Healthalready dropped its plansto join South Florida's ACA market for the 2017 plan year. Florida regulators hadwarned Harken Health in June that its application would be rejected due to noncompliancewith state laws. Regulators intended to continue discussions over the filing ifthe company provided additional information, but the UnitedHealth unit withdrewits application.

UnitedHealthitself has significantly scaledback its participationin the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
