Myanmar's Kanbawza Bank Ltd. opened a representative office inSingapore, The Business Timesreported Oct. 6, citing a company press release.

The lender is the first from Myanmar to set up an office inSingapore.

The bank in June received a license to open a representative office inthe city from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The lender had alsopreviously opened arepresentative office in Thailand.
