Director to retire from Unilever boards

Unilever PLC and Unilever NV said March 7 that Ann Fudge will retire from her role as a director for both companies after their annual meetings are held in early May.

Consumer goods giant Unilever operates under two parent companies — Unilever PLC in the U.K. and Unilever NV in the Netherlands.

Fudge is stepping down from their boards after nine years. Andrea Jung, a former CEO of U.K. cosmetics company Avon Products Inc., will be nominated to join both companies as a nonexecutive director.

In addition, several directors will be up for re-election to both Unilever boards at the annual meetings. They are Nils Andersen, Laura Cha, Vittorio Colao, Marijn Dekkers, Judith Hartmann, Mary Ma, Strive Masiyiwa, Youngme Moon, Graeme Pitkethly, Paul Polman, John Rishton and Feike Sijbesma.

Unilever PLC's annual meeting is scheduled for May 2, while Unilever NV's will take place May 3.
