Bricks and mortar: Navy FCU opens branch in Georgia

S&P Global Market Intelligence rounds up notable branch openings and closings over the past week. This wrap excludes certain moves by banks with more than $5 billion in assets and certain credit unions.

Southeast

Atmore, Ala.-based United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bancorp. of Alabama Inc., opened a branch at 305 Forrest Ave. in East Brewton, Ala., according to the Alabama State Banking Department's April monthly report.

Vienna, Va.-based Navy FCU on May 20 opened a branch at 3730 Buford Drive in Buford, Ga., the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.

The opening marks Navy FCU's eighth branch in metro Atlanta and 333rd branch overall, according to the report.

Atlanta-based Delta Community CU opened a branch at 210 Jonesboro Road in McDonough, Ga., according to a press release. The opening marks the bank's 26th branch in metro Atlanta and 29th in all.

Mid-Atlantic

West Chester, Pa.-based LINKBANK, a subsidiary of LINKBANCORP Inc., opened a branch at 2010 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities' latest summary of activities.

Ambler, Pa.-based Ambler Savings Bank closed a branch at 395 Main St. in Schwenksville, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania regulator's latest summary of activities.

Southwest

Lubbock, Texas-based City Bank, a subsidiary of South Plains Financial Inc., opened a branch at 825 Town and County Lane in Houston, according to the Texas Department of Banking's website.
