Bentre Aquaproduct Q4 profit climbs 22.0% YOY

Bentre Aquaproduct Import & Export JSC said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to 883.43 dong per share, an increase of 22.0% from 724.29 dong per share in the fourth quarter ended Jan. 1, 2015.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 10.16 billion dong, an increase of 22.0% from 8.33 billion dong in the fourth quarter ended Jan. 1, 2015.

The normalized profit margin increased to 8.6% from 8.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 14.3% year over year to 118.53 billion dong from 103.69 billion dong, and total operating expenses climbed 13.9% from the prior-year period to 102.49 billion dong from 89.98 billion dong.

Reported net income decreased year over year to 10.66 billion dong, or 926.32 dong per share, from 11.04 billion dong, or 960.13 dong per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 4,919.42 dong per share, a gain of 21.0% from 4,066.34 dong per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 56.56 billion dong, a gain of 21.0% from 46.76 billion dong in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew year over year to 474.01 billion dong from 452.53 billion dong, and total operating expenses totaled 392.17 billion dong, compared with 392.92 billion dong in the prior-year period.

The company said reported net income fell 9.6% on an annual basis to 65.69 billion dong, or 5,713.00 dong per share, in the full year, from 72.67 billion dong, or 6,318.91 dong per share.

As of March 28, US$1 was equivalent to 22,295 dong.
