Ky. utility seeks high-sulfur spot coal bids

Kentucky Utilities Co. is seeking proposals for spot high-sulfur steam coal at its E.W. Brown power plant.

According to a bid invitation from PPL Corp. unit LG&E and KU Energy LLC, the utility is seeking the coal for January through March 2018.

Bids must be received by 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 5, 2018. Tonnage was unspecified.

Bids should be mailed to Delbert Billiter at LG&E and KU Energy LLC, 220 W. Main St., Louisville, KY 40202.
