Ares Commercial Real Estate board ups dividend

Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp.'s board approved a higher dividend of 28 cents per common share.

The dividend is payable April 17 to shareholders of record as of March 29. The dividend is 1 cent higher than in the previous quarter.

The company also reported net income attributable to common stockholders of $6.2 million, or 22 cents per share, in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate for the last three months of 2017 was 23 cents.

For full year 2017, net income attributable to common stockholders came in at $30.4 million, or $1.07 per share.
