Athenahealth COO to step down, serve on board

Athenahealth Inc.Executive Vice President and COO Ed Park will leave his post at the end of 2016,when he is expected to be elected to the company's board.

Upon Park's transition, Kyle Armbrester, senior vice presidentand chief product officer, will take over as head of direction and delivery of coreservices.

The role of COO is being eliminated, and the company will shiftother internal leadership responsibilities to account for the transition, a companyspokeswoman said in an email.
