Chevron grosses $1.00 billion from debt offering

Chevron Corp. raised gross proceeds of $1.00 billion from an offering of 2.895% senior unsecured notes due March 3, 2024.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital and redemption or repayment of debt securities.

Barclays Capital Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC were the lead underwriters.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc. also served as underwriters for the offering.
