MercadoLibre Inc. witnessed the biggest drop in shortinterest among new media companies measured by SNL Kagan in early March.
The Latin American e-commerce technology company's shortinterest fell 261 basis points between Feb. 29 and March 15 to 6.56% ofoutstanding shares.
Among short interest gainers, unit took the lead,its short interest position gaining 120 basis points to 15.14% of outstandingshares.
WayfairInc. remained the most heavily shorted new media stock, withshort interest on 23.28% of outstanding shares as of March 15.
