Beowulf estimates 878,000 contained tonnes at Aitolampi graphite project

Beowulf Mining PLC estimated a maiden resource for its Aitolampi graphite project in Finland of 878,000 tonnes of contained graphite.

At a nominal 3% total graphitic carbon, or TGC, cutoff grade, the indicated and inferred resource is hosted in 19.3 million tonnes at 4.5% TGC, according to the company's Aug. 13 release.

Aitolampi is part of the company's wholly owned exploration permit, Pitkäjärvi 1.

The resource includes a higher-grade western zone with an indicated and inferred estimate of 9.8 million tonnes at 5% TGC for 490,000 tonnes of contained graphite.

An eastern zone hosts indicated and inferred resources of 9.5 million at 4.1% TGC for 388,000 tonnes of contained graphite.

Beowulf is tendering a scoping study contract for Aitolampi for a preliminary assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of developing a mining operation at the project.
