Celldex Therapeutics Inc. appointed Gerald McMahon to its board of directors.

Board member Richard van den Broek resigned, "due to increasing responsibilities in other endeavors," the company said.

McMahon was previously the president and CEO of Kolltan Pharmaceuticals.

Hampton, N.J.-based Celldex develops therapeutics for the immune system.
