United Technologies unit clinches $200M Singapore Airlines contract extension

United Technologies Corp.'s UTC Aerospace Systems unit secured a 15-year contract extension with Singapore Airlines Ltd. worth nearly $200 million to provide asset management and repair services for the airline's Airbus A380 fleet.

The long-term maintenance agreement is part of the unit's Comprehensive Accessory Repair and Exchange, or C.A.R.E., program.

UTC Aerospace Systems also supports the airline's Boeing 777, Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 fleets totaling more than 130 aircraft through separate C.A.R.E. programs.
