Media industry moves

* agreed to acquire alloutstanding shares of GreaterMedia Inc. in a deal worth about $240 million. According to a July19 news release,Greater Media shareholders will have the right to name one member to theBeasley board, which will expand the board to nine members.

* Inc.said July 15 thatcompany President Stormy Simon is stepping down from the position to pursue otheropportunities. Simon, who was named's president in 2014, willalso resign as a director of the company no later than Sept. 30, according toan SEC filing.

*TechTarget Inc.director Jay Hoag resigned from the company's board, according to a Form 8-Kfiled July 13. Hoag,who was also chair of the compensation and nominating and corporate governancecommittees, served on the TechTarget board since May 2004, the companysaid the same day.

*The board of RealNetworksInc. elected Christopher Jones as a member of the board, accordingto a Form 8-K filedJuly 13. Jones, who is engineering director for , will also serve as amember of RealNetworks' audit committee. RealNetworks July 12 that Jones' appointmentexpands the board to eight members.

*HSN Inc. July 7 that Fiona Dias hasbeen appointed to its board. Dias' appointment expands the board to 10 members.Dias is principal digital partner at consulting firm Ryan Retail Consulting,and was previously chief strategy officer of online shopping service ShopRunner.

*Professional Diversity NetworkInc. said July 6 that company directors Barry Feierstein andDaniel Marovitz voluntarily resigned to pursue other opportunities. Further,David Schramm and Lee Hillman were elected to the board. Hillman, who is CEO ofPerformance Health Systems, will become chair of Professional DiversityNetwork's audit committee. Schramm previously served as president and CEO ofMaxwell Technologies.
