Voestalpine AG CEO Wolfgang Eder will step down in mid-2019, after serving for about 15 years in the post, and move to the supervisory board, the Austria-based specialty steel firm said June 5.
Herbert Eibensteiner, head of the group's steel division, will be appointed as Eder's successor, effective July 3, 2019.
The supervisory board will recommend that Voestalpine's shareholders elect Eder to the board in summer 2019 and make him chairman in 2021, supervisory board Chairman Joachim Lemppenau told Reuters.
