EDP Renováveis secures contract to sell output from 100-MW Mexican wind plant

EDP Renováveis SA secured a 15-year power purchase contract to sell the output of a 100-MW wind farm under development in Mexico.

The facility is expected to become operational in 2021 with an expected load factor of about 40%, according to a news release.

With the latest power agreement, the EDP - Energias de Portugal SA subsidiary said it has contracted more than 50% of its approximately 7 GW targeted global capacity build-out for the 2019-2022 period.
