Jacksonville, Texas-based Austin Bank Texas NA promoted Russ Gideon to COO, according to The Gilmer Mirror. Gideon previously was the bank's chief lending officer.

According to the news report, the bank promoted Jason Petersen to chief lending officer. He was most recently deputy chief lending officer at the bank.

Austin Bank, a unit of Austin BanCorp Inc., promoted Mike Gunnels to chief credit officer of the bank. He recently joined the bank as deputy chief credit officer, the news outlet reported. Gunnels previously was executive vice president, chief risk officer and chief credit officer at Terrell, Texas-based American National Bank of Texas, a unit of ANB Corp. Gunnels will succeed Rick Waldrop, who is retiring.
