OceanFirst Financial board authorizes bylaw, board size changes

OceanFirst Financial Corp.'s board on Dec. 20 authorized an increase in the size of the board to 14 and named Sun Bancorp Inc. directors Anthony Coscia and Grace Torres to the additional seats.

Coscia and Torres join the board pursuant to Toms River, N.J.-based OceanFirst's merger agreement with Mount Laurel, N.J.-based Sun.

OceanFirst's board on the same day adopted a change in company bylaws. The amendments delete the requirement that board members must have a residence in New Jersey and eliminate the mandatory retirement age of 72.
