Nordex wins 198-MW turbine order for Texas wind project

Nordex SE won a contract to supply 198 MW of turbines for a proposed wind project in Texas, according to a May 28 company release.

Nordex received an order from an unnamed company for 63 wind turbines to be delivered and installed in spring 2020. The project is expected to begin operations by the end of 2020.

The company said the order uses some equipment from a "safe harbor" transaction dating back to 2016 that can qualify customers' projects for the 100% of the federal production tax credit.
