Mizuho Securities unit gets license from German financial regulator

Mizuho Securities Europe GmbH, a unit of Japan's Mizuho Securities Co. Ltd., received a MiFID investment services license from German financial regulator BaFin.

Mizuho Securities Europe was set up in Frankfurt as a subsidiary of Mizuho International PLC, the U.K.-based unit of Mizuho Securities Co. Ltd. The Frankfurt-based subsidiary is preparing to start operations in March 2019, the company said Dec. 12.

Mizuho Securities is a unit of Mizuho Financial Group Inc.
