Iowa-based West Bancorp. increases dividend to 17 cents

West Des Moines, Iowa-based West Bancorp. Inc.'s board approved a quarterly dividendof 17 cents per common share.

This dividend, payable May 25 to shareholders of record as ofMay 11, represents an increase of 1 cent per share, or 6.25%, over the precedingpayout of 16 cents per share.

The company reported first-quarter net income of $5.7 million,or 35 cents per share, compared to net income of $5.1 million, or 32 cents per share,for the first quarter of 2015, according to a Form 8-K filed April 28.
