Everest Reinsurance Holdings Inc. has partnered with Glen Welch and Todd Welch, co-founders of Charter Partners, to form Salus Systems LLC, a partnership that focuses on reducing workplace injuries.

Salus Systems will develop and market ZERO, a collaborative risk management platform for the insurance industry. ZERO includes a real-time mobile platform, a new channel for workers to communicate with their management teams and a peer-to-peer intercompany sharing platform.

The platform is being used at several partner companies and will soon be available for use by companies across the U.S. Under the partnership, Salus Systems will market ZERO directly to companies and to Everest Insurance insureds across the company's specialty P&C portfolio.

Glen Welch will serve as president and CEO of the joint venture.

Everest Insurance refers to the primary insurance operations of Everest Re Group Ltd. and its affiliated companies.
