Arcland Sakamoto Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 20 was ¥31.38 per share, a gain from ¥30.27 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.27 billion, an increase from ¥1.23 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 5.2% from 5.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥24.44 billion from ¥24.07 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥22.46 billion from ¥22.08 billion.
Reported net income fell 20.1% from the prior-year period to ¥861.0 million, or ¥21.23 per share, from ¥1.08 billion, or ¥26.55 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥132.51 per share, a fall from ¥135.59 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥5.37 billion, a fall from ¥5.50 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased from the prior-year period to ¥101.69 billion from ¥99.24 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥92.90 billion from ¥90.48 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 10.1% year over year to ¥5.83 billion, or ¥143.70 per share, in the full year, from ¥5.29 billion, or ¥130.47 per share.
